With decades of experience in orchestral playing, Alethia has filled posts with several professional orchestras in her native Mexico such as renowned UNAM Philharmonic, Mineria Symphony, Mexico’s National Opera Orchestra, Fine Arts Chamber Orchestra among many others.

Alethia holds a Bachelor of Music with Highest Honors by the University of California, Santa Barbara, a “Medaille d’or, Niveau Supérieur” and a “Premier Prix d’Excellence à l’unanimité avec félicitations du jury” by the National School of Music and Dance of Ville d’Avray, France. She has been awarded several prizes such as the “Gabino Barreda” medal for academic performance, the “Excellence at entrance award” by The University of California, Santa Barbara, as well as numerous merit scholarships such as the Leni Fé Bland Foundation, Music Affiliates, Santa Barbara Music Club, Esperia Foundation, Mosher quintet scholarship, the National Fund for Arts and Culture scholarship and the French government scholarship (CROUS).

Mrs. Lozano has had teaching positions at the Escuela Superior de Música and Escuela Nacional de Música, UNAM, in Mexico City and has performed numerous chamber music recitals with Eolia flute quartet, the Fine Arts wind quintet and many other chamber music groups. As a recording artist, she has worked with Urtext Digital Classics, Deustche Grammophon and is currently recording for Cartoon Network’s animated series Victor and Valentino.
